About

My name is Debbie Ha. I'm an electrical engineer-in-training and a graphic designer at heart. Deldritch is something I decided to call my website since, believe it or not, I have found a couple doppelgängers with the same first and last name.

Design

I started graphic design 12+ years ago when I first used photoshop to superimpose my sister's head onto the body of a dinosaur. Since then, I've created logos, brochures, advertisements, banners, book covers, and more for numerous companies and organisations. Even in my engineering jobs, I've been asked to create beautiful schematics, diagrams, and layouts for the company's marketing.

A selection of this work can be found in my design portfolio, in addition to the illustrations and pencil sketches that I do on my own time.

Here's a copy of my design resume (*pdf).

Engineering

As an engineer, I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity during my undergraduate studies at Dalhousie University to do a co-op term with Nova Scotia Power (Conversation Dept), LED Roadway Lighting, and J.J. MacKay Ltd. My senior year project was a collaboration with Satlantic.

I have since completed a MSc. at the University of Alberta under the supervision of Dr Ying Y. Tsui, where I have logged many long days working with optics, microfluidics, LabVIEW, and creating microdevices in the Nanofabrication facility.

Here is a copy of my CV (*pdf).
